About

I had a Master's degree in Education and a couple of Kindergarten teaching years behind me when I decided to stay at home with my new son. I missed teaching, but I also loved sharing those precious moments with him as he grew and developed.

As time went by we moved into a home with a beautiful apartment space in the basement. My husband was the first to suggest that it might be possible to use the space as a preschool, and very quickly the idea turned from dream into reality. After a lot of work and planning, we opened the preschool that fall with one small class. So far it has been the perfect balance for me to teach at home and spend the rest of my time as a mom.

When I taught Kindergarten, I enjoyed being a part of a community of educators through my school and by writing about my experiences here.  I have decided to continue blogging to share my adventures and give preschool parents an idea of what teaching and learning looks like in my classroom.
