After talking about night and sleeping, it seemed fitting to shift into how the world wakes up for spring.
Plants start to wake up again with green shoots and flowers.
Trees wake up with blossoms and green leaves.
We used popcorn and sticks to create some blossoming trees.
Then we painted them with bright spring colors, which also led to some paint exploring (as usual)
Animals that have been hibernating start to wake up, other animals come back from their winter migrations. We read a favorite bear story, and then some students created their own bear stories.
We also "woke up" our counting bears to create a spring rainbow for our 50th day of preschool.
